Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 29, 2008 12:18 am We met with our builder on site this evening and he recommended we have 3 colours on our house. I've attached a pic of the display home ... the second pic is our house which is wider and has a separate portico.

Basically we are looking at rendering the entire house in: single or double strength dune or/ natural stone The balcony in: jasper The portico in: .... red Mish or anyone can you advise on which colour/s to go with. Roof and roller door are CB Dune. I am considered Murray River Red but definitely want a muted darkish tone. Any advice welcome. Re: 3rd colour on render .. help needed 2Apr 29, 2008 9:28 am I would definitely do the Murray Red out the front!
The colours you are doing on the other walls are perfect for the deep red. On my website..(sorry I couldn’t locate the photo in my folder!) there is a house with the Murray Red on the front. www.denovoconcepts.com Externals – He’s now kicking himself, because she got scared and didn’t do the whole area –(Above balcony doors ) it looks unfinished. Your wall colours are nice and deep….it will all blend well. It's a little lighter than Murray River Red - which to me will seem too dark. But it's still muted.

The facade looks great on your website. Stonecutter can't see capsicum red on this computer (won't download) but I'll check it out when I get home. Main render colour: Dune Second colour (balcony): Jasper Third colour (porch): Murray Red Thanks guys Re: 3rd colour on render .. help needed 7Apr 29, 2008 8:42 pm DeeElle We've gone with Murray Red - didn't get a chance to see capsicum red before having to decide. I have chosen jasper and dune for the render/garage/front door on my front facade too I am also most certain to use Murray Red in the kitchen for the splashback, so i for one think you have made great choices! I also love the look of your house - can't wait to see more pics Re: 3rd colour on render .. help needed 12Apr 29, 2008 9:42 pm haywgl I have chosen jasper and dune for the render/garage/front door on my front facade too Great minds haywgl I was initially a bit concerned that the red would stick out like a sore thumb but the builder said it needed some drama otherwise the porch could 'disappear' into the rest of the house. Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well.
