Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 14, 2013 2:41 pm We purchased a leather couch from Demir Leather in 2012 which took six months to deliver, three months longer than stated. The couch was not what we ordered with regard to the specification. We visited the store and were responded to negatively and loudly by the manager. After many phone calls requesting a full refund to no avail we wrote an email and have not received a reply. Be wary of this company as they did not provide what was ordered and do not follow consumer laws for refunds. Re: Demir couch - Not what we ordered and refusal to refund 2Jul 15, 2013 4:00 am If thats the case I would get onto the office of fair trading nsw. Very helpful and its free. Complying with consumer law is not an option. Re: Demir couch - Not what we ordered and refusal to refund 3Jul 15, 2013 8:55 am I had a friend fifteen years ago with a similar experience from these guys. The leather lounge suite was delivered - two chairs and a sofa and yes again about three months late but one of the chairs was a different style! When my friend complained the delivery guy said " if you put that one over there, you won't even notice". Idiot. He complained to the Dept of Fair Trading or whatever it was back then and got a full refund. Needless to say he bought elsewhere. If its not a Rolls Royce its another luxury car worth hundreds of thousands. Im all for doing well but being a little less conspicuous may be good. Makes me think they charge too much for their furniture! Re: Demir couch - Not what we ordered and refusal to refund 6Aug 29, 2013 3:45 pm You're not the first one ive heard of this story of Demir. Also reminds me of Matt Blatt with a brand new Mercedes SLR outside their new Alexandria store Our previous builder has been refused insurance by VMIA because of his history of incomplete building works. However, he has managed to get building insurance through… 0 14465 The HIA contract, in the term & conditions section states that "Commencment" is deemed when the drainage is started or the piers are dug or the slab is formed up (incase… 2 6150 Thanks. I called VBA today and they said it was a Consumer Affairs issue, the old handball. Seems like the government organisations don't want to do their job at the moment. 2 7541 |
