Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 23, 2013 3:47 pm Hello, I'd love some advice. I am renovating a 1964 brick and tile home. We have polished the jarrah floors and painted the walls off white, with a white trim on the cornices, skirting boards and window frames. The house is reasonably dark- not a lot of natural light- I also have dark brown leather couches. I'm wondering what blinds I should get- I'm leaning towards light filtering rollers or romans. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Also I'd like a large rug on the floor to add some warmth- I have a toddler so it's need to be something that's not going to get filthy- however I don't want the room to be too dark! A quandary! Thanking you in advance Re: Blinds and Rug in the lounge 2May 23, 2013 8:10 pm I think the choice of blind depends on the style you have created within the space. Romans are classical and give a classical look, rollers are more modern......which way have you gone? With your rug, I think you could inject some colour into the room and possible choose a nice deep red rug? Something along these lines??
