Not that that is a problem but seems odd they do that. Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Good value still My 4 boxes of white ones are same as my black ones above. Above is 2 boxes worth Re: Photo wall help! 23Jun 20, 2013 10:23 pm Well the biggest one there is to fit 5x7 photo which is only a tad bigger than the normal everyday sized photo. Notice on the freedom website they got almost identical frames to purchase individually in 3 different sizes - to suit 6x4' pic, 5x7pic and 8x10 pic. Might go check these out tomorrow. A bit more pricey but might be worth it. Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. I still haven't had a chance to make 9 templates, yet, too much else going on Looking forward to seeing everyone's gallery walls once completed! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! The beauty of the photo blocks is that they can be moved around really easily and even put on a shelf if you take them off the wall - have a look here -************************************** Let me know how you get on. Please excuse the barrel distortion, it's hard to fit it all in, and there's lots of reflections this time of day. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thankfully, we won't be doing that again! It was very tricky and took hours to make sure everything was straight and lined up (it's still not 100% correct). Difficult when the frames are not precisely the same size...a couple of mm's out makes a huge difference... Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Am I right in assuming that placement of hooks on the wall is the hardest part?? I.e so they all sit evenly apart... Cheers MissEm. Yes, the hardest part was hook placement, and these frames had 2 'D' rings at the back . We tried using wire between the 2 'D' rings, but it wasn't very successful and the wire would keep slipping, also hard to keep the picture straight and level while measuring for the one next to it. In the end we used several string lines blue tacked to the wall (the frames all needed to be 3.8 - 4cm apart in each direction) and sticking masking tape to the backs of each frame to work out were the hooks needed to go, then transferring that masking tape onto the wall as a template. Not sure if it was the right way to do it, but it was highly frustrating with the wires... All of the frames also have blue tack at the bottom corners to stop them slipping... I use Velcro strips for all my frames. Hooks would be very hard! Re: Photo wall help! 30Jul 08, 2013 3:49 pm The pictures look amazing! I don't think I would have the patience for it ;o) Think I might need to invest in a spirit level for these kinds of things! Re: Photo wall help! 31Jul 24, 2013 1:10 pm MissEm Lovely set and great price but most of those are non standard picture sizes so they'd need to be custom printed. Not that that is a problem but seems odd they do that. My harvey norman print centre can print 24in by 24in. One of the girls who worked there a few years back was a digital scrapbooker and got her manager to let her sell 12in by 12in. If you bought one it was $20 because she'd use the full sheet. If you bought 4 it was $5 each because she'd slice them into four off the one sheet. If you're doing under 12in by 12in you can use an online printing service. The one I use is $2 each with $10 shipping. 8in x 10in is a standard size and is like $5 from harvey norman or the like. If you wanted a 7 by 9 you could create a document in photoshop 8x10 and open your photo and crop it to 7x9 and drop it onto your 8x10 canvas and flood fill the background a bright green or some other bright contrasting colour. I have a trimmer which will trim down from 12x12 but your local library might have a guillotine in their computer area, ask because they're often put away but they'd be happy to go get it for you to use. Now these velcro strips, the 3m ones? I got a pack of black plastic frames from a discount store and want to have a play before I replaster the wall. I was sure I had instructions for gallery walls pinned but can't seem to find it now (edit: I didn't look properly http://roost-home.blogspot.com.au/2010/ ... -wall.html ) but these might be of interest if you want different picture display ideas http://ana-white.com/2012/10/plans/clot ... our?page=1 http://www.oopseydaisyblog.com/2012/02/8338.html Thank you again Simeon..
