Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 16, 2013 11:42 pm Hi All getting to the end of our build and seriously need to replace our current stools before they fall apart. However I have no idea what would suit our style of kitchen. Main musts are that they have a back so kids are less likely to fall off them and be comfortable. The ones I have been looking at are below but please if you want to throw something else in please do. Let me know which you like the best. Our Kitchen is very similar to the pic below. http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg560/Charnleys/InspirationKitchen_zpse931a878.jpg 1) This one I really like but it is super uncomfortable and hubby hates it http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg560/Charnleys/Stools2_zps4e81f54f.png 2) Like this as well but I cant find it anywhere. http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg560/Charnleys/Decor4_zps85885b90.jpg 3) This one I can get from Matt Blatt http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg560/Charnleys/Stools3_zpscc9d6775.png 4) This one I didn't even consider until I saw the below pic and it actually works quite well http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg560/Charnleys/stools4_zpsd73b3439.png http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg560/Charnleys/Stools1_zpsa19457a6.png All opinions welcome Re: Help Please with Bar Stools for Kitchen 2May 17, 2013 7:33 pm I like no/4 best, nice eclectic look. Looked at one the other day. PM'ed you a link to where i was looking Re: Help Please with Bar Stools for Kitchen 5May 21, 2013 1:39 pm In a kitchen like yours (which will be amazing, btw), I love number 2, with a similar version available at Ikea. Having said that, number four would add texture, which would also look great. What other furniture will you have in the space? Having said that, number four would add texture, which would also look great. What other furniture will you have in the space? I have a bit of a mix actually. French oak parquet brickmakers coffee tables and buffet in our lounge, also a Jarrah Dining table. So its a bit eclectic, unfortunately my tastes have changed quite a bit since I bought our Jarrah furniture. Oh well will have to make it work somehow. Re: Help Please with Bar Stools for Kitchen 7May 22, 2013 3:26 pm Considering the rest of your furniture I like the idea of number 4! I think they are slightly more contemporary in style and will mix better with your other furniture pieces. If you make the kitchen completely Hamptons/traditional including the stools it may look too formal compared to your more eclectic other spaces.
