Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 07, 2013 9:14 am Hi, just joined this forum, love all the info here. I have just purchased a post war house in Brisbane to renovate then rent out. I think I'm ok with what we are going to do inside, however, I do not know what colour scheme to go for with the exterior. As you can see in the pics it has a red teracotta roof (which will be cleaned - not enough in budget to respray) with white weatherboards and green guttering and battons at the bottom. The red roof is the issue, what colours to go for? The window frames will be repainted in Dulux natural white. I'm liking grey colours, but just not sure which greys go with a red roof? So I need assistance with colour schemes to go for the house including guttering, downpipes and battons. I've considered beige colours but not sure if I like the look, but it's not my personal taste I'm going for, it's an investment and need to consider what will entice people to want to rent this house when complete? Any thoughts and comments are much appreciated.

I'm finding it hard to visualise it? http://www.wattyl.com.au/en/explore-colours/find-ideas/exterior/ideas/ColourCollectionsTradVic.html Re: Just bought house to renovate-help with exterior paint 3May 08, 2013 12:33 pm Will try and have a look over your post soon Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Just bought house to renovate-help with exterior paint 4May 09, 2013 6:32 am Which colours out of this lot do you prefer? Mmmmm, I like the colourbond blue ridge, perhaps that could look ok on the guttering and battons below. Maybe magnesium for the outside, or would that be too light? Maybe shale grey instead? Re: Just bought house to renovate-help with exterior paint 6May 09, 2013 8:54 pm Hi Flickt....I just noticed all the above colours are not current these days. Shale Grey is still around.....but I think you can do better. So here's my colour selection for you, what do you think?
