Re: Comments on the external color 2Apr 24, 2008 9:20 pm Hey!
I am building the same house but probably with Clifton facade. We have some similarities ![]() I think they will go nice with the paperbark. My roof tiles wlll most likely be maquarie in gunmetal too, unless they can give me a great price for the striata ![]() Gutters/fascia/downpipes I am also having in woodland grey, I think I remember Mich saying it is good to have them and roof tiles all one colour - more uniform, so you are on the right track there I think ![]() Front door is also the same as mine...I am no colour expert but I would maybe suggest a lighter colour against the dark bricks....maybe the paperbark too...I recall P has a Paperbark door in the same style and it looks really good ![]() As for the render I don't really know what colour that is, I have also tried to get colours off the Rockcote website with no luck.... Overall I think you have done a great job - should look really good ![]() Re: Comments on the external color 3Apr 24, 2008 9:46 pm Hi hysterical1144.
10 points to you for supplying all the links to your selections!!!! This all looks good to me. ![]() The reason why you won’t find a colour on the Rockcote site is because they supply the product not the colour! That’s someone else’s! Do you know who makes that colour? Dulux..Taubmans exct?????? We have some similarities ![]() Boral in Thomastown did give me an address to look at the Brown Terrain bricks (i think it is in Epping). Call Boral again to ask. What do you think of my front door color ? Is it too dark ? Cheers Re: Comments on the external color 6Apr 24, 2008 9:54 pm No, it should blend with your roof tiles.
When selecting colours it’s always good to have a flow of colours. I think you have done this, front doors should stand out….IMO. We were trying to make the front door stand out but was worry that it would be too dark. I would probably definitely consider contrasting out garage door (e.g. light ash would look great) and make downpipes and fascia same colour as your walls, not as your… 1 1669 Suggestions please for acrylic rendering Color to match austral brick urban one pepper.
