Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 20, 2013 8:42 pm Hi All, I am currently building & getting stuck with the exterior colour scheme decision. The window frames turned out to be a bit more creamier in colour than I originally thought they would & I am trying to make them work with the windspray roof. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Here are some current pics of the place: http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a56 ... c8eb58.jpg http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a56 ... d6239a.jpg http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a56 ... fa0fbc.jpg Here is a summary: Roof/Fascia/Gutter= Windspray (Colorbond) Windows = Anodic Off White Render = ____________ ???? Columns = ____________ ???? I have been thinking along the lines of "Flokati (Wattyl)" for the render & some sort of accent for the front columns.....maybe a grey or bluey grey "Backdrop" (Taubmans). I am totally open to new recommendations. See what you think............ Re: Exterior Colour scheme ideas....thanks!!! 2Apr 21, 2013 10:03 am If you feel the windows are too yellow, then I think Flokati will just enhance that yellow look. I think you need a more neutral/cool grey tone for the main render to blend in with windspray. Backdrop looks ok for the columns. What colour garage door and front are you having? Re: Exterior Colour scheme ideas....thanks!!! 3Apr 22, 2013 1:03 am Thanks d@n for the response, Yes that's a good point about the neutral/cool tone, I've been trying to avoid having the windows stand out, hence the thought had been to blend them with the flokati. Though it may need to be a slightly cooler tone as you say, I just haven't been convinced about the flokati. The plan for the garage(panel lift) & main entrance door is for the natural woodgrain look, the thinking being that this should provide some contrast & also break up the texture to a degree. So more sample pots it looks like......maybe somewhere in the middle of "off white " & "windspray".....some sort of grey undertone. Would be good if there was a known colour scheme that contained "anodic off white" & "windspray" that I could reference. Your input definitely helps with direction.
