Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 22, 2008 5:19 pm While I now have an office FULL of fan decks and paint brochures from most paint companies, I still find I don’t have some colours when I am asked.
Trust me….I have a lot, more than the average painter would have. So my question is, so I know what to get……. Where are you all sourcing your paint colours from???? I made a visit to Wattyle last week, a friend of mine runs the store, he showed me the complexed paint system they have to work with on their paint computer! Their job is so much harder than mine! When you ask me paint questions I will need to know where you found the paint in question…..which brochure! I am running out of room for them all, and still not coming up with all the colours! I have to say, i just went to pretty much every display in Melbourne, not just PD, to look at various paint colours and combinations. Oh, and we're always flicking through gorgeous house magazines for inspiration....or to sigh at what we can't have!!!! Minimalist is pretty easy, though, I guess, white, white and more white!LOL! We're having Wattyl 'Astor White' as our main colour, i plan on using furnishings to break it up and add colour!
Also wanted to say that I think you're very generous to offer your precious time and expert advice on here - thank you, and well done!!! Re: Paint question for all building! 7May 28, 2008 3:01 pm Thank you so much ……Petal!!!!

I don't live anywhere near Moonee Ponds...... You can call me whatever you like - Superstar, Wonder Woman...you get the gist ....or you could just close your eyes and think of Dame Edna!!!! He-he.... Re: Paint question for all building! 11May 28, 2008 5:46 pm petal - oh, and 4 kids would probably not work with minimalist!!! lol , that's exactly why we decided to go with a minimalistic look. I'm so sick of the clutter that comes with having 4 kids. 'chelle We have a hand-over date...15/10...but I won't hold my breath! http://people-in-glass-houses.blogspot.com/ Re: Paint question for all building! 12May 28, 2008 6:01 pm Oooh, lucky you - I'd love to see your photos, 'Chelle! We did look into renovating and extending our old place, but it was just too cost prohibitive. And we actually fell in love with the Brookvale floor plan, so I AM happy - I just love the very modern, well-designed places! We will decorate our place quite 'minimalist-y', and YES, totally agree about the clutter - I can't wait to have all that cupboard space to clear away the clutter - the bane of my life!! At the minute we are living in a little 3br place on a tiny block - very...er....'cosy' - and NO cupboard space!!!!! 'chelle We have a hand-over date...15/10...but I won't hold my breath! http://people-in-glass-houses.blogspot.com/ A question. Im in Queensland and building a new home. We managed to reach practical completion 6 weeks ago but we haven't heard any date for handover yet. Who should we… 0 5807 This is one of the reasons I decided to go overseas for my double glazed windows. As the builder indicated, he's worked on many upmarket builds, these were the most well… 13 19244 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 |
