Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 08, 2013 2:51 pm We're expecting our first little one and I'm looking for some nursery ideas. I don't have a lot of $$$ but really want the glamourous look rather than cutesy. Colour palette - Black, white, grey, silver/chrome and the accent colour will be yellow. Why yellow? Because I have an old yellow and black single lounge chair I want to use in the room for when breast feeding in the middle of the night. It's really comfortable and stylish and I don't have to spend extra cash. Cot and change table will be white. Just started looking on eBay. I'll make my own art for the walls and will buy a chandelier for the room. I would love some extra ideas from you guys on how I can create a really glamourous nursery for my baby and me on a shoestring budget. Re: Glamourous nursery ideas 2Apr 11, 2013 9:30 am Have you had a look on pinterest/google images? Lots of ideas there. Yellow and grey are fairly popular at the moment. I would keep things fairly simple, too much decoration makes the room look too busy imo. I was originally going to do yellow and grey but that went out the window when I saw the soft pink and white trellis wallpaper. This became my jumping off point. I'm pretty happy with the final result. Here are a few photos.
