Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 06, 2013 4:05 pm We have decided the best colour for our walls will be either moody white, or solver first snow. We have to choose the trim colour from the Wattly Finishing Touches brochure, in which the only colour that may be suitable would be Flokati. Is it the norm or acceptable to have trim darker than the walls? Because this would be the case if we went with these colours (i should mention neither are 'dark' colours) Thanks Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Wall and trim colour help please 2Apr 07, 2013 12:15 am Hey meowsy, What profile or size cornice, arcs and skirting are you having? If you don't want to make a feature of the trim you could do it in your wall colour but in gloss. Moody White would look lovely for both walls and trim or Flokati walls with Moody White trim? A lot of PD display homes have Flokati as the wall colour. I don't know if you've seen it but it does throw a very light grey blue. Personally, I would choose to have the doors and trim in a lighter or the same colour as the walls. Hope this is of some help, because I'm beginning to feel like a stalker! Hopefully its just that we have similar taste..... Re: Wall and trim colour help please 3Apr 07, 2013 4:45 am mimi23 Hey meowsy, What profile or size cornice, arcs and skirting are you having? I think the Flokati will be ok for the walls and trim, everything else is quite neutral and light so it shouldn't look too grey. Are you familiar with the colour Michelle? It is a wattyl one. Its a very neutral colour. Flokati is just slightly darker than the Moody White, nice contrast if you want trims to stand out. That is good to know. I think we might just go flokati walls and trim. Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 7 3006 Hi there, we have classic cream gutters, fascia’s, roller door and undercover carport. We are are going to paint the roof a terracotta orange colour. After some… 0 4502 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 |
