Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 27, 2013 5:12 pm Hi Michelle (or anyone who wants to weigh in on this), I have listed all colours below using Michelle's template. I need to keep my doors/windows and frames in their current colour (Taubmans Grounded gloss I think), but want to completely repaint all other walls in the one colour. What lighter colour than Taubmans Grounded would work and should the skirtings be in Taubmans Grounded or the new wall colour? Ceiling /Cornice - Builders/painters white Walls - currently dulux hog bristle I think or dulux stonecrop with henna red below the wainscoting (http://www.dulux.com.au/colour/colour-g ... allery/red) Skirting / Architrave - currently dulux hog bristle or stonecrop I think Windows / Reveals / Frames - currently Taubmans Grounded I think. In gloss. Doors - currently Taubmans grounded I think. In gloss. Window Treatments - nothing decided yet Flooring - carpet in light beige Lighting - faces north west, gets good afternoon sun but other room faces opposite direction so doesn't get much light. Both rooms have only one window. I would definitely use your window frame/door colour on the skirting as well, and make sure it is a gloss enamel paint for durability. If looks like Taubman's Grounded is quite a creamy paint, so do you definitely want to go a lighter colour on the walls? Do you definately want to use the same colour above and below the chair rail? I would probably keep it simple and use Grounded in half or quarter strength to give you a subtle tone-on-tone look.
