Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 25, 2013 10:37 pm Hi All, just looking for a few opinions. I am planning to buy new quilt covers etc for the kids bedroom for new house. My little boy would like a rocket/space themed bedroom. He is going to be almost 6 when we move in and I am thinking that we should get 4-5years out of the bedding, so it needs to do him until he's 10-11. This being the case do you think the following is to babyish Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Or should I get something like this and accessorise with space cushions etc even though it is a bit plain and boring at least it is not too young for him. You could get away with rocket / space sheet set, then accessorise with space cushions, a rocket or alien mat or a solar system mobile? I'm pretty sure I've seen alien / rocket soft toys and other items at Ikea. Re: Boys room 4Mar 26, 2013 5:05 am The second set is very neutral and leaves you to be able to add other elements to the room, like some rocket ships decals on the walls? Like you ive gone for something not too young as I want it to last. I like colourful kids rooms Re: Boys room 9Mar 29, 2013 2:41 pm Absolutely, it needs to be fun and colourful- and it gives us a chance to be colourful to without making a whole house full of it. Re: Boys room 10Apr 03, 2013 9:59 am I think the accessories will be the way to go. THat way if his interests change all you need to do is update the accessories in the room Re: Boys room 11Apr 03, 2013 10:20 am Guess depends how many themed accessories you have. I just assume in few years ill want to buy new bed linen anyways haha My boys room is robot quilt cover a with robot cushion and a robot print in a frame.
