Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Feb 08, 2013 12:05 pm Hi guys I am currently building a house and have a large wall in which I'm trying to decide how to decorate. Here are some photos of the wall: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Dimensions of the wall are as follows: 6.5m long x 3m high The first image illustrates the wall in the far foreground, you are walking from the entry hall way into the house. On the right of the wall you have a 4mx3m bifold door (not shown). To the left of the wall you have what will be a LCD TV (~55-60inch). I'm also boxing the TV in by building a horizontal bulkhead above it with two plastered vertical bulkheads either side of the TV. The second image pretty much illustrates the wall. In this photo you can see on the left is where the TV will be as described earlier. At the moment this entire wall is a blank canvas. If you want more photos / info, let me know and I'll post more. Re: Feature wall ideas 3Feb 08, 2013 6:11 pm What style is the rest of your furniture/interior? I'm a fan of textured wall papers or you could tile the wall with a very large textured tile. That would look pretty cool. I absolutely love it, now we are seriously considering it but this is not our 'forever' home, and I'm thinking for resell that we would have to be able to get it off. Is that an issue? Sorry to hijack your threa, chrip! 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Feature wall ideas 10Feb 10, 2013 11:41 am What about a photo wall? I've decided to build myself a weeping wall made out of stone, I'll probably split the wall in 3 and have 3 weeping walls about 2m wide each boxed in. Wall paper ive heard is PITA to remove. Could possibly paint over it?? Otherwise try search for removable wall murals Hi, thanks to someone for sending us this link. Our custom wallpaper is non-woven, latex inpregnated wallpaper, basically the same as your standard wallpaper. You need to paste the wall or wall to install, but to remove is simply a case of wetting the wall, waiting a few minutes and off it comes, cleanly and easily. We do also offer custom walls in a self-adhesive synthetic fabric which is removable and repositionable, like wall stickers. chrip I've seen that wall paper in many display homes, I'm actually putting that up in another room of the house co-incidently Hi, are you getting it through us? the image is not actually a generic wall mural image, rather one we purchased license rights to. In saying that, there's tons of NYC images used as wallpaper, was just curious when you said it was the same one.
