Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 18, 2013 9:43 pm Hi. So, until now, I've had no worry making colour selections for my renovated kitchen, wall and door paint, etc.. and now that it's time to chose a tile, I just cannot make a final decision. I need your help/opinions. I live in a small unit by the beach on the Gold Coast. Currently my walls/doors are painted with Dulux Lexicon quarter/half paint (so they have the slightest grey/blue tint and are thus a cool white). My kitchen cabinets are Formica snowdrift gloss (white), benchtops are 30mm trendstone with waterfall so will lead into the tiles - think the colour was white galaxy, brushed aluminium kicks and obv. stainless steel applainces (fridge/oven/dishwasher), splashback will be a metallic pewter colour (Jewels Prata) as shown in pic below.. I cannot choose between "super white" and "majestic" (a marbled/ivory colour) - see image.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is Super White against the waterfall edge.. At least with the Majestic, it's obviously not meant to be white and it looks nice with the bit of pattern through it. I also wonder which will be best in regards to looking cleaner when dust falls. Your thoughts?? Re: Tile colour to suit walls 2Jan 22, 2013 5:40 am I prefer the white tile, and white will help bounce light around a small space. I went with the white tile as I figured there'll be less drama matching carpet - the next phase of this process. Suh, I had looked at a few soft greys and I do like the look but I just couldn't find one in a large format porcelain around the $20 mark which I could get the other two options for. I'll be back with carpet advice I'm sure! Re: Tile colour to suit walls 8Oct 20, 2015 8:36 pm I'm considering jewels prata as a splashback too - Do you have a picture of your finished tiling?
