Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 10, 2013 5:53 pm Basically i would like opinions on my window treatment colours. The walls will more than likely be Dulux Whisper White or thereabouts... We will probably have the odd feature wall in a Dulux dark charcoal browny colour called Namadji..Other than the main bedroom the feature walls have a window somewhere along the wall... We have white windows... I tend to always have white or off white window treatments which works well.... But that was before I found this forum! haha So now my question is would I be better to stick with the light blinds and accent with sheers or other curtains....Or should I choose a darker colour for the blinds... For instance what looks worse..A white blind on a darker wall or a darker blind on a white wall? As I am writing this I can feel I am internally talking myself into one option...But it will be appreciated on anyones thought who at least have a clue about Interior Decorating lol... Dark walls you have the colour of the blind as close to the feature colour as you can get. On your lighter walls choose a colout that compliments the wall colour. This way the feature walls stay as that. Feature walls. Love that Numadji!! Nice choice! Hope this helps..... So let me see if I understand this correctly; if we have Numadji (glad you like it ) as a feature wall then we should have the blinds as close as possible to that colour? So in your opinion does it not matter then if there are different colour treatments in the one room? The feature walls are the TV walls but unfortunately they have windows in them either side or a highlight one above!! Would I be better to choose a different wall as the feature however, having said that our family/dining has 5 walls and all have windows in them!! Do you think Namadji would look ok on the bulkhead which is above 2 walls of overhead cupboards (its only about 30-40cm high) The kitchen is Polar White? It does look better for a feature wall to have as least as possible on it, like tvs and windows, if you can change the wall that would be good. If not I'm sure it will still make an impact just not as big Do you think Namadji would look ok on the bulkhead which is above 2 walls of overhead cupboards (its only about 30-40cm high) The kitchen is Polar White? Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34269 |
