Is it possible to get a glass sliding door between living areas and balcony such that the floor level is flush?
This would be so nice. By the way, there's plenty of cover overhead so no dirct rain will hit the sliding door. We are at the really early stages and I haven't looked at kitchen showrooms for years now, so what's available for kitchen doors. We upgraded our kitchen in our current house 8 years ago and just used laminate on the doors. We would want something a little sturdier this time but have no idea what our choices are these days. Thanks 'chelle We have a hand-over date...15/10...but I won't hold my breath! http://people-in-glass-houses.blogspot.com/ Re: Got a free night ....09-04 08 6Apr 09, 2008 8:46 pm 'chelle Here's another one. Thanks I can tell you know, you may not get any sturdier than Laminate. It’s a great product. Are there different qualities of laminate or is it all much of a muchness. Mine is probably a big question - so feel free to pass if you don't have time Mich Ok remember a while back I got you to help me with my exterior colours for one of M's house - well fast forward and we are now building with PD and have a brand new facade/exterior to work with. I have had a discussion with DH and he really likes the complete render look of the front facade. So we are looking into this option - there will be some brick showing through in small amounts - but we are yet to choose this colour yet, leaning towards either a light sandy brick or a brown shade, definatly not red/orange or anything along those lines... Ok so the house we are building is PD's Cremorne 41...link is below http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#homeviewer/Cremorne/41 The facade we are doing is the Clifton - it is the one on display at Caroline Springs and Pakenham (if you click on the pics on the website you can see the house IRL to make it easier) So I recall you suggested Limed White and Pale Earth for my old facade and I'm wondering what you would think with this new facade... Garage door and front door would remain 'Jasper' by colorbond. Windows will be white aliminium with white plantation shutters. Roof tiles will be a dark grey. We like modern, simplistic, earthy tones. Looking at the pictures we would probably have one main colour and then the portico (the bit around the 3 bottom floor windows, the porch roof and the post holding up the porch) all another colour. So what would you suggest Thanks for any help EDIT - Just checked out my link - if you click the picture of the house at the bottom of the page where it says Clifton - this brings up the picture of our facade. Makes it easier... Re: Got a free night ....09-04 08 10Apr 09, 2008 9:03 pm Now they can put a different surface on the frames of the doors which is stronger and more durable.

Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Got a free night ....09-04 08 12Apr 09, 2008 9:08 pm Michelle, I have noticed in a hell of a lot of the new display homes being built, that the kitchen under bench cupboards, over head cupboards and sometimes the kicker are all different colours....... Is this a new trend or can it look as good in our homes as well???
Only asking because the good wife went down this road and I am a little nervous..... I was wondering if I could still use them but not sure if they would look a little 'purple' for the whole facade...was thinking more of a stoney/brown earthy colours to go with the jasper door/garage and white windows Re: Got a free night ....09-04 08 14Apr 09, 2008 9:12 pm No worries I found them, and yes I still like them!

This is not a new look, in fact I’ve been doing this for years. My husband always told me I was colour blind! If they are more towards the brown shade will it be too much brown with the 'Jasper' garage door and front door? Or is it ok because they are varying shades of brown... Also when you say make a statement with the front door what would you suggest... We are having two large double doors from Corinthian for our front entry - the type with the single strip of glazed glass down the side...I saw some white/cream ones on the weekend and loved the look of them...do you think this would look ok? Re: Got a free night ....09-04 08 19Apr 09, 2008 9:23 pm Jasper is perfect with the colours!
NO!!!! No white doors!!!! They will stand out like a soar thumb!
