Help! After three years of no splash back we are finally doing it and I need help to choose a colour. As you can see I'm pretty keen on white but I've been told that a white glass splashback, even on low iron glass, can look ordinary next to white gloss cupboards. I love green but with so many different shades I'm lost. We have a stone bench, also white and a jarrah timber floor. The splashback would also go along the window sills of the windows etc so there's quite a bit of it. Any advice, suggestions would be much appreciated!!
Hope I've uploaded the photos ok.

If you're gonna be there for awhile, pick a color you really lopve. With an all white kitchen you can have pretty much anything! I'd go green (I'm a big green fan) and would just pick the shade that tickles my fancy most. Otherwise, if you're planning on selling, I'd get a deep brown as close to the jarrah as possible.

We were going to go with a white as well, but I think we were talked out of it by several people for the same reasons you were given. We ended up going with a colour, I think it was Dulux called " pond" not to green very subtle but looked really lovely against the stone bench and cabinets. But we also like the glass colour look.

If you like green, I would look at just using the clear tint glass, it has a lovely soft green to it.
I think it will suit your kitchen nicely.

Kitchen could definitely use some colour to give it a lift. There's enough warmth in the floor so i'd go with an earthy cool colour for contrast, light to mid in strength.

we have a very similar colour scheme to you, jarrah floors, white cupboards, and oceanfoam bench.
We ended up going shale gray colorbond for our splashback. Builder actually commented on it saying it was very nice ( after our wall color fiasco, no one liked it, including me )
not the best picture
but our appliances will have black and stainless steel as well, so I think it will tie it all together

Unfunkable - really liking the lights over your kitchen island - can you point me in the direction of where you got them from?

Gravedigging this therad: my glass splashback went in on Thursday, the result is this:
Completely thrilled with how it turned out, couldn't be happier... except maybe if the weka (blue) went all the way to the roof behind the rangehood.

That darker colour off to the left goes fantastic with those colours.
Sadly my floorboards won't have as much red in them as that photos - and I wanted to go even darker than that.

Love your splashback too. It's amazing. Is this a dulux color? Was it on a clear glass? Appreciate the info

I couldn't tell you who does the colour - but it's called "Weka" from whoever supplies Metricoblahblah. I've asked for offcuts and samples, but they've not been very helpful - I'm considering matching the glass cabinets on the wall unit to it. I consider the lounge and kitchen to be one bit living area - they're all visible from the same standing spots, but some others claim they're different rooms so shouldn't use the same colours.

Ohh I love all of those splashbacks! I in love with Dulux Sea Creature ....its kind of petrol blue....thats what we're going to get...but I kind of wish I could change the colour all the time - I should probably just get coloured LEDs behind it and change the colour every day! I think red looks awesome too....(Im yet to decide on cabinetry /bench colours....it all has to just fit in with the splashback!) LOL!
