Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 08, 2012 1:59 pm We're just renovating a double-fronted Victorian. We've gone with a Colourbond Monument roof but can't decide on the colour for the weatherboards. We're tossing up between: White Duck - Too grey? Stowe White Double Strength - Too creamy? Beige Royal Half Strength We're planning on doing the trim Vivid White and a black front door.. Has anyone used these colours or have any recommendations/suggestions? Are you also able to give some advice on our internal colours? The house is quite traditional, but we are having a modern kitchen with pure white cupboards and no handles. We're planning on Antique White USA 1/2 strength on the walls and hope that this will work with both the old and new elements of the house. We are planning on pure white (Dulux Vivid White - full gloss) skirting/window/fireplaces. We are north facing. Thank you Re: Help with colours 6Oct 09, 2012 2:48 pm Should have added that we're having Caesarstone Ocean Foam benchtops too. Thanks Re: Help with colours 7Oct 11, 2012 8:23 pm Hi again, We have now tried Bleaches, Limed White and Vanilla Quake on the weatherboards in addition to the other colours. To be honest, they all seem pretty close. I think it's a toss up between the Beige Royal and the Vanilla Quake. Does anyone have any comments on using either of these colours? Our painter has suggested we do Antique White (full or half) on the trim rather than vivid white. Any thoughts? Thanks again Hey. Head to a metal and decide on which profile you will use first. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34269 |
