Or grey feature wall and the rest white? Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 4Sep 14, 2012 10:53 pm I'm looking for white neutral... not too yellowy but clean light and bright... who would have thought picking would be so involved? Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 5Sep 15, 2012 10:27 pm Antique White USA looked really nice with our Jarrah Floorboards in our last house otherwise Natural White is also really nice. Both Dulux Colours. Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 6Sep 15, 2012 10:46 pm Dulux whisper white has a nice grey tone to it. I don't know what Essastone basmati looks like but you need to decide if it is a cool (I.e grey/blue) white or warm (I.e Yellow/beige) white that you need. Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 7Sep 15, 2012 10:53 pm We used dulux white duck 1/4 in current house. Depending on light it can look a warm white colour, sometimes grey. We have used it in wet areas with grey tiles & in main area with brown furniture etc & it suits both I'm having new basmati essa stone in new house. I'm thinking dulux dieskau or silkwort in 1/2 or 1/4 strength (need sample pots) Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 9Sep 15, 2012 11:25 pm Ive used silkwort in my daughters room. I don't see much blue tinge. Specially compared to blue greys I have here Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 10Sep 16, 2012 10:13 pm thanks for your thoughts everyone - it all helps... we are leaning towards a dark splashback (not quite black) more charcoalish with a bit of sparkle... probably put that in first the look at what wall colour but I will definitely look at all of your suggestions, so thanks again looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 11Sep 17, 2012 8:07 am We have Polar White cabinetry, White Shimmer benches, Dulux Silkwort glass splash and Dulux Natural White walls. We have mixed hardwood floors. I find the Silkwort glass throws a blue tinge on one wall but not on the other! Depends on the sun coming in I guess. Renovating our 1970s home Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 12Oct 12, 2012 9:04 am I do like a nice cream or off white! However a grey always works well too. Re: looking for suggestions of what colour to paint walls 13Oct 12, 2012 10:43 am We are doing similar kitchen and wood look floors (not jarrah) and have chosen Dulux Bleaches 1/2 strength for main colour. Its would look really nice with jarrah (have jarrah sample here). Could go 1/4 strength if want it even lighter Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7143 Hi, Looking to add an ensuite to one of the bedrooms and make it a Master BR. Please see the attached current floorplan.
