Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 11, 2012 9:33 am Hi folks, I purchased a tv unit & office desk in a mahogany colour, on the cheap when we were broke & had no furniture. All our other furniture is a lot less red, either a light walnut or teak sort of colour so the mahogany colour really looks out of place. Is there something I can do to gradually change the tone of this furniture? Could I mix a small amount of stain with a furniture oil? The furniture is not high gloss. I remember my mother in law having a red colour furniture polish for her furniture about 5 years ago, but can't remember the brand. I don't want to rub it back & redo it becasue I honestly don't know if it would be worth it, being it's only cheap furniture. Any advice? "A dream you dream alone is only a dream.
