Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jul 18, 2012 11:18 pm Hi can anyone help me on my paint colour selection... my wife loves red, she had a red glass tiles for the splashback on our kitchen and white benchtop and cupboards. we plan to paint all the walls with solver morning grey. we want to put another colour on the featured wall in the living area. can someone suggest some colours to go iwth it? our floor is timber, american oak, and our furnitures in the living and dining is like dark jarrah finish to contrast the colour of the floor. Pick one close to the tiles colour. Alternatively you could go for a charcoal grey with the white trims....depending on what furnishings you have, you can always accessorize with red. Very Re: Help on my colour selection? 9Jul 29, 2012 1:56 am Hi macoi11, I love your red feature tile splash back! I do agree with d@n that you should maybe wait until everything is finished before deciding on a feature wall colour. If it were me, rather than painting an entire wall red, I'd leave your kitchen tiles as the feature and complement or tie them into your living room with a couple of red accessories. You could have a nice red vase, a red floor rug or red throw and cushions on the couch, a painting with red in it, a red ottoman, red leather kitchen stools or even a clear glass bowl full of red apples on the dining table. Good luck with your decision.
