Gray might be iffy with the GNU tan.
And black...I think it might "date" the house a bit, not sure what others think? Over here it was very 90s to have black windows. Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 24May 23, 2012 6:41 pm I'd go white or Surfmist windows, black is to dark. I've got Woodland Grey windows and if I were selecting colours now I would definitely choose Surfmist. If you prefer dark windows, have you looked at Jasper? Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 25May 23, 2012 6:53 pm Yeah I'm agreeing with the white windows too. Michelle program I used is TURBOFloorPlan Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 26May 23, 2012 8:59 pm Haha, who looked at this topic becos it said "MALE NEEDS HELP" ?????? Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 30May 25, 2012 5:53 pm How much retaining walls and where? Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 31May 25, 2012 9:15 pm Looking at the model, the retaining walls are the raised ground area adjacent to back paving at the back of the house, since the front is built to ground level and the back falls away... I think dark stone, as I can't picture the lighter stone meeting dark paving on top.... It might look unbalanced? Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 32May 25, 2012 9:30 pm Although looking at the model it doesn't appear as if they will abutt each other. What is the tan shape more noticeable on the left hand side? Is that a garden bed? And is it continued on the right hand side? Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 33May 26, 2012 3:16 pm Yeah the tan colour is garden bed, Retaining wall will be at the back as you can see in the model and also thinking a curved one on the front going from the path around to the right had side of the house as there will be a slope there. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 34May 26, 2012 3:45 pm Mate, speaking as a bloke to a bloke luckily for me 'the cook' picked all the colours (well next week in fact), so all the hard stuff was taken care of. So long as I have a shed that's all that matters. Anyway, I reckon you did OK, except that last photo with the brown thingy colour tiles.....err...a bit much methinks. If it was me I'd pick something along the lines of sorta Pilbara Red/tan (such a colour exist?), basically 'man-up' colours and stay with satin or matt with the tiles. Bathroom/s white tiles on the walls with no more than 100mm 'trim' tiles running vertical, not horizontal. Told that by a tiler, as with white tiles you can colour change anytime/any decade and won't go out of style. The vertical trim tile makes the room larger, whereas, if you go horizontal it makes the room smaller - I dunno, it's what ol' mate told me. Also, with the bathroom/ensuite the floor tiles in a tan/browny colour, if it was me I'd still go with my Pilbara red/brown. Well, you could just concrete the whole floorplan and paint it whatever, and change when you get sick of it. Luckily, I don't get to pick colours I guess. Re: Male needs help- new build colour selection - pics inclu 35May 26, 2012 4:25 pm Yeah I'm ditching the dark brown tiles, just go for the travertine floor and wall and add a feature mozaic along in the shower wall, something like this: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Hi there, we have classic cream gutters, fascia’s, roller door and undercover carport.
