Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 12, 2008 7:15 am Hi Michelle,
I know this is your interior lounge but thought I'd ask here anyway. Feel free to move the post if necessary. We are about to start the back patio area and I wanted to paint the fence before we did anything. I figure while there is nothing in the way we may as well do it now rather than later. I have watched a zillion garden shows to try to get an idea on good colours for fences .... and the majority tend to go to a darker colour. I have no issue with darker .... but do I try to match it to the bricks/roof (as in stay in keeping with the theme of the house) or can you choose a different colour all together. Example: our bricks are red with a browny/red roof. do I paint the fence a browny colour or can I go a blue/grey or something like that?? Bearing in mind the pavers will be a cream based colour with a feature render wall (colour yet to be determined). Thanks Re: Outdoor question 2Mar 12, 2008 8:56 am Hi Amber …..Nice to hear from, it’s been a while!
Feeling slightly overwhelmed with things in my life at the moment, so can you help me out by taking a rear view photo of the house and fence together, so I can pick which colour would look best for you. Something along the lines of this....Heres a pics of one in our estate to give you an idea. In this instance the guys have tied it into the house colour. And the plants will really stand out against a fence like that. If it works for you...DO IT!!! They have done cream in other project houses, this would match our house (dark cream bricks/ manor red roof) but DH worried about such a light colour. Their other main colour seems to be willow green, quite a nice colour but with cream and red??? - About a year ago, I embarked on a DIY project to construct an outdoor Pergola, which measures approximately 5.2 meters by 4.0… 0 29834 Natural stone tiles like slate, travertine, and limestone add a timeless, elegant look to… 0 28008 thanks. the above one is white Mat tiles and have gripness so going for this Mat tiles for both indoor and outdoor.
