hume wardrobe system doors only come with white or chrome or oldfashioney yellowy cream track system Im having 25% hog bristle painted doors 50% on walls is it better to have the yellowy cream colour though its not a really match to my cream hog bristle sort of mismatch to me (darker more yellow) or white...hmm or chrome ( not so much into chrome though) I cant make a decision to save my life anymore! decisions decisions....... Re: limited colour choice..quick question what to do 3Mar 07, 2008 11:15 am Hi Bec, I'm having these wardrobes in kids bedrooms & have gone the white. Although my wall colour is different to yours I think you'd find the cream would clash.
Jo Re: limited colour choice..quick question what to do 4Mar 07, 2008 11:22 am i would go the white - better to go white than a colour that looks like it is "trying" to match but doesnt IMHO!
Where's Mich when she's needed?? Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007. Re: limited colour choice..quick question what to do 5Mar 07, 2008 11:33 am Bec, silly question maybe but can i ask, what colour your door handles are?
If you went the chrome and your door furniture is chrome, then it would/could blend in that way. Have you got any pics to show us , maybe a pic of what the hogs bristle looks like with the white, cream and chrome? My first choice would be chrome, then without seeing the cream option, i'd probably go white... But if you have darker carpet, it's going to stand out a bit against it???? Re: limited colour choice..quick question what to do 6Mar 07, 2008 11:47 am sorry I am completely challenged pic wise...
so its a bit hard for everyone to say really many thanks for everyones thoughts! also I have no idea to what extent you really see the white/cream or chrome whether its just track top and bottom inside and all round....hmm no idea! chose off a brochure...... I went bright chrome for door handles so yep I see where youre going I have a white ceiling and dark carpet I think my brain is fried from all the decisions needed on a house Re: limited colour choice..quick question what to do 7Mar 07, 2008 4:13 pm I agree with Phoenix.
I think my preference would be chrome, white then cream. We have used a colour a little bit like hogs breath (deep creamy brown) and we have matched it with a bit of white (eg, white bath, white basins, etc) but mostly chrome as it is a contrast, but will always match - even if you end up re-painting in years to come. I would steer clear of the cream unless it was definitely a complimetary cream - which will be hard to tell from a brochure. Ray.
