Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 08, 2012 1:01 pm Hi there We are currently in the process of building our new home. I have been doing lots of "window shopping" and I would love a new leather lounge for our home theatre room. However we also have a dog, a spoodle, who is a very much loved and very spoilt and he spends lots of time indoors. We currently have fabric lounges and have no issues with scratches. I was just wondering if anyone else has a leather lounge and do you have any issues if the dog jumps up on the lounge? Is the lounge easily scratched by the dog? Or is it best to stick with fabric? Re: Would love a leather lounge, but have indoor dog...issue 11Apr 09, 2012 8:05 pm Thankyou all so much for your feedback, when I have chatted to family about getting a leather lounge, they say to me "I wouldn't because of the dog". So I was rather disappointed as I have never had a leather lounge but would really love one for the new house. But thanks for your advice, it has cheered me greatly and I feel confident now about getting one. I also have a teenager and another two years behind, so it is probably more likely any damage will come from them and not the dog, lol. Going though the toddler years was enough to our poor old lounge, only got rid of that 2 years ago. Happily I can now continue window shopping for the new lounge. Can't wait to order it, probably won't be til next year though, but having fun looking! We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in!
