Wow, so exciting!
He didn't seem to give you much of an idea about when he's going to get back to you though, I'd be going crazy!
He contacts me every few days so far……
I have answered some questions he asked about the book cove and other stuff. Sent him a “Slang Glossary” so he knows what I’m talking about in my novel. That’s was last night……he will get back to me again in a few days.
He’s pretty good like that.
But I don’t want to look TOO excited…..must make the man from LA get to know the makings of Aussie women!!!!

Wow! This is excellent news Mish. Congratulations and I hope your book does extremely well. I enjoy the genre that you write in so I'd definitely buy a copy
I think that guy would be excellent to design the cover - great choice.

Hey Mish, LOVE the style of artwork!!!!! It's going to look fantastic.....
Can't wait to see it all come together....i don't know how you can sleep!!!!!
I'm so excited for you!!!!
P…..sleeping well at night, because I am so emotionally drained at the moment from it all!
I’m hoping the guy is legit and not about to run off with my novel, even though I slightly checked him out. But because he’s new, there’s not too much to check out!
(I guess if I get burned, he will be smiling on the other side of his face, by the time I find him.
And could very well end up as one of my characters that get sliced and diced!)
I’m also not too convinced as yet, if he can’t get me out and known, I will be giving him a miss.
As you can see…..very mixed emotions at the moment!!!!

Hey Mich, my uncle has been writing books for a while, I can ask him if there are any pitfalls if you want. Let me know, he is US based.
Thanks Adrian……I just might do that.
I’m a member of a writes forum in the States; I asked some questions in there last night, they are so helpful, without this forum I may never have got my novel to where it is now.
They have given me plenty to think about with their replies.
Its all getting a bit much…..I’m feeling slightly frazzled at the moment…..and that means God help anyone who steps on my toes!
Thanks for your offer!!

I’ve been too busy to have time to think about what I should do.
So the question is……
Do I go with a new publisher who is prepared to let me have a say in how my book gets published, along with the book cover.
(Which the big boys don’t do!) Just so I am published, loosing all copyrights to the novel for a few years?
OR….do I hang in for another 3 years and hope to snag a big publisher who lets me have no say in how my book gets published?
Easy you say….. Go with the new guy.
Not so easy, as he may not be able to give me the exposure, like the big guys!
And you all think picking your kitchen colours are hard…….

An online friend of mine from the States is also a writer and he has had a few novels published through 1st Book Publishing - I was quite chuffed for him to see it for sale at Amazon
He also sells his first few novels through his website. If you're interested in checking out 1st Books their website is http://www.1stbook-publishing.com.
