Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Feb 24, 2012 9:02 pm Hi I've just had curtains put up in front of a sliding glass door. They are about 2cm off the ground - good because it doesn't drag on the floor but I feel they should have been a little lower. two questions... Will they 'drop'? Will the weight of the fabric bring the length down at all? How far are your curtains from the floor - is there a standard height? Thanks Re: Curtain height from floor??? 3Feb 25, 2012 8:33 pm if they are operational curtains you don't really want them touching the floor. 2cm is acceptable per industry standards - In my workroom I usually work to a little bit less, taking into account various considerations in deciding the appropriate finished length. Re: Curtain height from floor??? 4Feb 27, 2012 4:16 pm Thanks - they are about 20mm but I thought they should've been about 10mm. I think they just looked odd when they first went up, I've adjusted to them now and very happy Also having glossy wood floor under them the light reflects under the bottom which is why they looked higher.
