Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 30, 2012 8:23 am Hi everyone, I'm a long time forum stalker but have rarely posted. But we've just moved so think I'll bearound a lot more Hoping someone may be able to help me with some colour advice. I have just painted our main bedroom in Haymes Half Moon - it's a light blue-grey http://www.haymespaint.com.au/haymes/colourcentre/ . The trims are white. We have a medium brown/latte carpet. I am really stuck on window coverings colours. I am thinking a roller and a sheer curtain. But I have no idea what colours. White? Beige? I was originally going beige walls, but got swayed into the blue-grey, hoping I haven't made a mistake (The rest of the house is neutrals). Thanks! Shelly. Re: What goes with blue-grey walls? 2Jan 30, 2012 1:13 pm Blue-grey and latte colours look fantastic together Shelly, so don't worry about that! Just find some fabrics and accents to pull all the colours together. I worked on a living room recently with a beige, caramel, blue and green scheme. My client had quite a classic style and these were some photos we used as inspiration... And then, why not use a white curtain and add either a band of blue and brown patterned fabric along the bottom, or just a ribbon trim of whatever colour you want to highlight? It is an easy way to make pre-bought curtains look custom made, and ties all the colours you want to use together. Those pics look great to, makes me feel so much better about the colour choice!
I've ordered some colour samples of blinds in some med beiges and whites (before I read your replies) so will see how they look. If I don't go with the roller and sheer, i was thinking roman... just to break up the bland expanse of the blind as its 2400 x 2000. Just to clarify Michelle, you will be working at Carpet Court, but not starting for a couple of months time? Also Anna, do you think a white block out roller, and sheer curtain with detail, or sunscreen white roller and blockout curtain with detail? Thanks again!
