Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 17, 2012 2:33 pm Hi everyone I'm in the middle of looking at wall papers for a feature wall. Which of these two do you like the best? (I know it's hard to tell on such a small sample) or Have you seen something else that you love and would like to share? http://s1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh623/chichybear/ BLOG: thehousewebuilt2010.blogspot.com (And are still building!) Re: WALLPAPER HELP 2Jan 17, 2012 2:49 pm Hi dannib! Personally I love the one on the right; I think the swirling floral is a more classic design than a damask (which was very popular a couple of years ago) and it was a lovely colour scheme with the charcoal, black and gold/taupe. It would be a great background to build a room around. Make sure you have a look at eurowalls.com.au and Graham Brown Wallpaper for options as well. Here are some other nice ones... http://www.grahambrown.com.au/index.php ... t&id=19955 http://www.grahambrown.com.au/index.php ... &id=20-010 http://www.grahambrown.com.au/index.php ... t&id=17124 http://www.grahambrown.com.au/index.php ... t&id=16242 Is it for a bedroom or a living space? They have some beautiful wall papers. I should have mentioned it is going on a free standing wall between the theatre and the dinning/living room. So instead of putting up some art work I thought I would use wall paper. I think my preference is the swirling floral with the gold, as well. But I will keep looking to see if there is something else I like more. BLOG: thehousewebuilt2010.blogspot.com (And are still building!) I would take a wallpaper book (s) home from the shop and put it against the wall..cos the light, the carpet, the wall colour all changes what you thought would look fab, DOESNT Re: WALLPAPER HELP 7Jan 20, 2012 12:32 am My partner and I are planning on having wallpaper on a couple of our feature walls, and one piece of advice I have already before our house is even built is this - get samples! I found one of the designs Ethos mentioned at a gorgeous store called Wall Candy, we saw it online and fell in love (http://www.grahambrown.com.au/index.php ... &id=20-010) only to have the sample mailed out... and rather than a suave swirl pattern it looked more like something I'd have in a teenage girl's bedroom. We were so relieved we didn't just buy a few rolls on a whim Whatever you do choose, be sure to post up photos of the end result! Re: WALLPAPER HELP 8Jan 20, 2012 12:49 am Ooooh, I LOVE wall paper.... Hope to eventually have a wall paper feature wall in my new house Sounds like the advice from parcelona is very good advice!!! That was one of my favourites from Wall Candy, but I have only ever seen it on my computer screen!!! I fell in love with the idea of wall paper after seeing it in so many display homes. The ones I like best are generally black and silver like this one.... https://www.wallcandywallpaper.com.au/p ... uct_id=284 I saw it in a display home somewhere in Perth Re: WALLPAPER HELP 9Jan 20, 2012 2:46 pm Thank you parcelona, great advice. I am waiting on my samples from wall candy! Caz 770 - i like the wall paper you posted. I think that would look great in silver and black. I will definitely post the photos when we are finished. It will be a awhile away as we are still building! BLOG: thehousewebuilt2010.blogspot.com (And are still building!) Samples are a must! I def agree with this wallpaper. I love it! And def agree with getting samples.
