Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Feb 18, 2008 12:07 am Hmmm now i have to be careful how i word this because i know it can and probably will go astray very quickly.... Michelle please feel free to whack whoever deserves it if it goes astray!!!!
BUT, i love to see bedrooms, adults and childrens alike, decorated well. It doesn't have to cost a fortune to have a gorgeous room. The colours, lighting, the accessories; I feel; all add to the "mood" of the room. Here are some pictures that i have taken of bedrooms that have taken my fancy in display homes over the last few months: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Enjoy!! Re: Decorating the Bedroom.... 2Feb 18, 2008 12:30 am Those are all quite nice (except for the orange one ).
For a main bedroom, be careful NOT to make it too pretty with feminine themes (florals etc). I like the idea of wallpapers coming back, if tastefully done on a feature wall. Avoid too much black or dark colours on floors & furniture, as it shows a lot of the light dust. I like passionate colours in a main bedroom, (plums, burgundies etc) with much lighter co-ordinating colours. (I have a very pale lavender colour on walls called Serenity, with a plum colour in certain places). Dress it up with really opulent, luxurious fabrics. These make a bedroom, and make it rich and inviting! Ash. Re: Decorating the Bedroom.... 3Feb 18, 2008 12:57 am Nice P.
I like the first one the most. Pefer dark moody hotel like bedrooms. ATM we are looking for simple bedside tables but haven't found anything we like. We also like rich fabrics on the bed. We bought a lovely piece of red silk back from Thailand that I wanted to use as a bedhead but it doesn't match our bed linen. Maybe one day we will find a use for it. Throw that together with some rich heavy-weight velvet, rouching, and tassells. The right lighting, large bevelled mirrors with ornate frames. That's what a bedroom oughtta be! Re: Decorating the Bedroom.... 5Feb 18, 2008 6:50 am Actually, except for the first one, which I love.
I don’t like any of the others. The second one is depressing! All that baby **** brown, if I had to wake up in that room, it would be a sad day for me. Looks like opulence in big with the display homes. Thanks for sharing P!!! Anymore photos? Next time your out get some kitchens, love to see what their doing there.
