The wallpaper is beige background with choc swirls and I thought the white a bit stark. Guess its time for more shopping and see if I can find an earthy tone quilt cover and then I post a pic to see which colorbond better, but don't hold your breath it takes me ages to decide on quilt covers, almost as bad as me finding light fittings. Hubby is painting before we move in and I have to decide on colours. I once made him paint the same wall three times, and still hated it, so he is very definite I have to get this right. I am going the hard path as I want one colour throughout the house that has to go with the following: Charcoal carpet in the colour tones of the dulux GR20 sample trio, white curtains and white bedding with black lamps and chandelier. A beige porcelain tile with a grey marbleing in it (very subtle) wood furniture and white curtains in main living area and black and white kitchen Black and silver curtains in media room with the charcoal carpet. Sound's like a hotchpotch of colours . The spanner in the works are the tiles (which we already bought) and our chunky wood furniture The other thought is to go with a cool grey in the bedrooms and media to tone with the carpet, and do the open plan in Hog Bristle or similar. Would it be too much going between the two areas though? Re: would you like a moodboard? 247May 17, 2013 7:29 pm Hi donna61, sorry I just logged in and found your post. I'll try and do you one over the weekend, I have a couple of jobs on so I can't promise, but I'll try! Some feel too yellow, and some too pink Re: would you like a moodboard? 249May 20, 2013 6:49 am Ran out of any down time this weekend......will try for through the week. sorry Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: would you like a moodboard? 250May 20, 2013 4:07 pm Okay, we are now looking at Light rice. I do love Sea Elephant as a feature but what colour compliment's it for main walls? Re: would you like a moodboard? 251May 20, 2013 4:09 pm Have you seen this? Found it while searching for Sea Elephant http://www.arthousecentral.com/destinat ... on-canvas/ This is my colour vision http://www.houzz.com/photos/984470/Grea ... inneapolis Re: would you like a moodboard? 252May 22, 2013 6:31 am To match Sea Elephant, you would go lighter in the family of colours - which will give you Dulux Blind Date. My boyfriend has Sea Elephant on all walls in his bedroom at his house, looks fantastic! Moodboods can take me up to 2 hours to do, sorry my lateness, its just a time thing with me lately. Good find Donna! I think I have decided on light rice walls with sea elephant feature in the open plan area where we have the beige floor tiles. Now I just need a lovely warm grey for the media and bedrooms where we have charcoal carpet an also a soft grey for the bathrooms where we have grey floor tiles and whie Carrara look wall tiles with silk moose cabinets Re: would you like a moodboard? 254May 23, 2013 7:54 pm How about Dulux Dieskau for the bathroom and bedrooms. Both grey with a brown base. I like dark wood, beigey whites, browns and I'm planning on red for feature colour. I want a middle eastern style of decor. My floorboards are red chestnut and walls are Arabian sand, a peachy light brown.
