Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 20, 2011 7:00 pm Hi all
Well the painters are coming next week and I have all the colours ready to go except for the rumpus room, which will have one wall painted in Grand Piano full and, the other walls will be a darker colour, but I'm not sure yet which one! So in a way, the GP is the feature wall, and will be surrounded by a darker colour... At the moment the contenders are: Dulux Linseed Dulux Kahlua Milk Have painted samples on the wall and the Kahlua milk seems a bit too browny/muddy looking. I like that the Linseed has more grey in it, but worried it might be to dark. Any other suggestion? I need to let the painters know by tomorrow or Monday... talk about leaving it to the last minute! TIA J xx ETA: OK so it might be helpful if I post pics of said room. The brick wall is being gyprocked on Monday and will be painted Grand Piano full. The trims will be china white (semi gloss). The other walls, not so sure... am leaning towards Linseed. I would like a cosy enveloping room. Maybe toffee fingers?? PS. The organge curtains are the first thing to go ( I hate those curtains with a passion! ) , followed by the blue couches. Will slowly replace all the furniture in the room. Pics below. They're a little dark as taken late this afternoon. Glad to know both go with GP. The room gets a lot of light, so I think it should be able to handle a darker colour. My style is kind of french/country/classic. Not a fan of ultra modern. Looking to decorate with grey/blues and greens. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Re: Feature wall to go with Grand Piano. I love cosy rooms and it sounds like you're well on your way to achieving something gorgeous!
