Also we are a bit nervous about our exterior colours - Surfmist Colorbond Roof, Render is Dulux Light Leather, Gutters Dune, Fascia Woodland Grey. Front door and posts are also Woodland Grey. Your thoughts very much appreciated.
Hi thebigbuild,
Choosing paint can be tricky. Wattyl Reiki is a good colour but within its chemical makeup it contains Brown Oxide so when it is against different things including fabrics and natural light it can throw a purple tinge or a pink filter. Unless you are really confident with colour matching I wouldn’t recommend that colour. Solver Nomad beige is a really good colour, especially if your house is going to contain chocolates, taupes, stone, whites and beige under tones. The family of colours it sits in work really well with each other, so if there are any rooms that you want to make a little fresher use Solver Creole 2723 or if you want a little darker as a feature wall use Solver Cork 2726.
These colours look great when team with white, if you have selected you door/architrave and skirting colours go with a beautifully white to help emphasise the warmth of the colour you have chosen, Wattyl Chalkdust is the perfect colour for your look and colour palette. Your exterior colours are good colours, the suggestions I would have though would be if you are really trying to achieve that French Country style I would have gone with Woodland Grey Roof and Gutters with the render colour and then you could pick up the posts in either woodland grey or dune.
If you want to keep the surfmist roof I would suggest going with dune gutter and facia rather than the two tone, and then pick up the posts in the woodland grey, bring in some timber stain where you can and stain it in Solver Ash Brown, this will give you a great palette to work with.
Cheers,
Catherine
