Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 10, 2011 8:41 am We're in the process of updating our kitchen and living areas, the colours will be a mix of black, white and timber finishes and touches of a bluey-gray colour and a deep red. Trying to find a new kitchen clock that will work with this and we were thinking of something a bit fun. Either something red or something a tad wacky. Has to fit into a space around 60x60cm (between the fridge and ceiling). We were thinking of something like http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://img0.etsystatic.com/il_fullxfull.250861924.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.etsy.com/listing/75950383/melting-wall-clock&usg=__bYsfKufKJl9pt2A6DnTt7qqIS1Y=&h=1500&w=1368&sz=350&hl=en&start=105&zoom=1&tbnid=XUSF4cEwbZ91CM:&tbnh=150&tbnw=137&ei=ERSSTtjDAov0mAXw4bn-Dw&prev=/search%3Fq%3Ddali%2Bmelting%2Bwall%2Bclock%26start%3D84%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divns&itbs=1 Or something like this http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://common2.csnimages.com/lf/1/hash/1298/1715709/1/Focus%2B9.8%2522%2BWall%2BClock%2Bwith%2BRed%2BPlastic.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.allmodernbaby.com/Nextime-2615ro-NXT1213.html&usg=__ls2ie-Cyx4p5MrB4w4ATxgDbvtE=&h=400&w=400&sz=18&hl=en&start=15&zoom=1&tbnid=DyC8-EnzaX-SVM:&tbnh=124&tbnw=124&ei=jRSSTvTdG-uviQeHy-mWBg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dred%2Bwall%2Bclock%26hl%3Den%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divns&itbs=1]. Any other suggestions? Don't want to spend too much. Re: Kitchen clock 2Oct 10, 2011 9:07 am Hi Mrs Mac, Have a look at this website, http://www.interiorz.com.au/clocks-on-sale/ they have quite a few "different" clocks around $40 in price. I have purchased cushions from them before and the service was great. Good luck Re: Kitchen clock 4Oct 10, 2011 9:40 am This isn't the first time the 'What clock should I buy" question has been asked! We have grey tones throughout the house and black cabinetry in the kitchen with stainless appliances. Here is our clock on the family room wall adjacent to the kitchen. It is approx 50cm across. We bought it from House. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Geoff - Decophile. I like the one Eager has posted on the ones from mattlbatt are nice also - I also recently saw some fairly reasonable ones in Target homewares The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... Re: Kitchen clock 7Oct 10, 2011 3:20 pm ooh I do love your colour scheme! I'm a little biased though! I bought this clock recently, it's 60cm in diameter though, so would take up your entire space! http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/ac165/aaron4erin/clock.jpg I do love the first clock you posted, the melty one Re: Kitchen clock 8Oct 11, 2011 11:25 am mimi23 Hi Mrs Mac, Have a look at this website, http://www.interiorz.com.au/clocks-on-sale/ they have quite a few "different" clocks around $40 in price. I'm not mad on the red one but DH was. Thanks everyone. Re: Kitchen clock 9Oct 12, 2011 3:34 pm I bought a clock recently in a handcrafts shop in Yarra Glen (Victoria). It is white, black and grey, and a teacup/ plate design. They are prints put onto a timber back board. The artist website is www.lisapollock.com.au. You could email her and see what others she has. They weren't expensive. If I can figure out how to do a photo I will Thanks for sharing. Looks good. The joiner has come back with a quote of close to 5k. I think we are going to not do it. Attaching panelling is something they are dead… 11 10076 The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 8578 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 3660 |
