Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures 21Oct 22, 2011 10:43 pm Yep I've sanded and undercoated the chair and will give it a paint soon. I have a feeling the fabric will take a couple of weeks to come though so don't wait around. I'll definately be back to keep you posted once its done Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures 22Oct 28, 2011 10:38 am Well hopefully you're not too disappointed but I didn't use the geometric fabric. Mind you I'm trying to think of other ways I can use it one day that will justify the cost. HAHA. Anyway chair is done, sort of, got to fix some screws. I'm super happy with the end result. CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures 24Oct 28, 2011 11:32 am Wow, it's gorgeous! The geometric was my fave, but that suits your home so beautifully!! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures 25Oct 28, 2011 12:29 pm Hmm yes I LOVE the geometric but it was $140 per meter and this one was $15 a meter. And I could get it now and not have to wait and pay an extra $30 for delivery. GRRR money. IT's such a pain. Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures - Chair is done! 26Oct 28, 2011 12:33 pm I think the fabric you've chosen is much nicer than the geometric...and I'm usually a fan of geometrics!! LOL Good job, btw...very satisfying isn't it? Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures - Chair is done! 27Oct 28, 2011 3:02 pm C C great job,imo you picked the right one it's in keeping with the style of chair, you would pay $$$$$ for that in a shop.Keep it coming Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures - Chair is done! 28Oct 28, 2011 3:06 pm Wow - what a gorgeous chair! I'm definately going to be on the look out for more projects to do. I have a few ideas for stuff I already have around the house. The lounge is the most boring room in the house at the moment so the chair is just the start of some personality. deb17 and deemaree - you can have it for anything over $10,000 I've got about a metre left so I am tempted to make a cushion out of it. Only I don't want to do the matchy matchy look. What do you think? Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures - Chair is done! 33Oct 28, 2011 6:12 pm Make the cushion but use it elsewhere. In regard to the curtain, perhaps you could use a tassle to tie them back in a colour that is already in the room and place a cushion on the chair with similar colours too to tie it altogether (pun intended ). https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures - Chair is done! 38Nov 08, 2011 1:09 pm wow really love that chair! would have never gone for that print if I had seen it on the roll. definately a winner there Harrisdale backyard finally done! Re: CheerupCharlie's Interior Adventures 39Dec 05, 2011 9:31 pm cheerupcharlie So far we have hung a few blinds around the place. We've managed to score 4 roller blinds on sale for the front 4 windows for $25 each at Spotlight. I'd like to make some curtains for these windows one day but for now the roller blinds will do. We also scored a white timber venetian for $77 that was reduced from $215 from spotlight for our dining area. WOOHOO. We've got 2 more on order at 50% off and I've hung another in the kids room that we also got at 50% off. Pretty happy with that. If money was no issue, I'd get a couple of shutters but at 3 times the price, the timber venetians are looking more reasonable. We've had the tv put up on the wall. My problem is what to get for underneath. Given the size of the room and how much happens in here I'd like to keep that area as simple as possible. I was original thinking a floating shelf but that wont work due to cords etc... We have to house the digital recorder and dvd player. The rest of that rubbish can be put away. The other cord in the pic was the vacumn so obviously that wont be there normally. Any suggestions for under here? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ \ This chair is in the lounge. I'm looking for some fabric to recover it. I'm fairly decided on one, depending on the cost of course but also need to decide whether to paint or redo the arms and legs. Any advice? I'm really liking the raspberry colors there though. The walls are dulux - very cashmere. Can't wait to get my teeth into this project as I havn't done anything like that before. Should be good fun.
