Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 06, 2011 10:11 pm The colour theme we have gone with in the house is black, grey, white with splashes of red (red kitchen splash back, red cushions, lamp shades etc) our dining room table will be in the back family room off the kitchen in the same room as our casual black leather lounges. The dining room suite is timber with black wrought iron legs, its a bit daggy but at the moment we arent replacing it (when the kids are alittle older and not teething - ive noticed my youngest has grindered his teeth on the top while teething Do you reakon some black chair covers would spruce up the table ? But you could paint with a white wash look for the the timber and have a whole new look. Michelle's right, whitewashing or painting the table white would look pretty great against the black wrought iron and give you a really different look, or you could japan stain/paint the table black for something a bit more dramatic. Either of these options would be cheaper than chair covers as well. Are you chairs upholstered or painted? Flower or candle display also. Pop some cushions on the chairs for comfort, perhaps tie ons to prevent slippage.
