I asked about this as I didn't want 4 blinds on each door and have gaps and chains hanging down and the other option was like what you want to do, but that would still mean a large on in the middle (ours have 2 sliders in the middle so double opening). Not sure how long my friend has had hers up, I know they renovated about 5 or so years ago, so probably that long. They just look messy. I think with smaller ones they look lovely, but after lots of going back and forth, I just didn't want to take the risk. Ahh I see. I wouldnt do romans that big either.
