I met him around 10yrs ago when I became a lending manager. The man ate slept and breathed real estate - it consumed his whole life then and I think still does. Some things are worth waiting for. “The Block” 64Jul 25, 2011 9:14 am I actually watched it last night to see the rooms and it was on earlier than MC. I would imagine the water would go everywhere. The floor to ceiling mirror would be a nightmare as would the black glass and who would prefer a "trolley" with stuff on it rather than a double basin. I have seen ensuites on here far nicer. I haven't said "WOW" once yet Re: “The Block” 65Jul 25, 2011 10:02 am my first thought about the black glass was similar suh, it'd be a bitch to keep clean And, I think I'd get cold in the open wet room my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: “The Block” 67Jul 25, 2011 11:00 am Sorry but wet rooms really do not appeal to me. I can't stand the kids splashing water out of our freestanding bath - so to have a shower splash all over the place would drive me nutty. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: “The Block” 68Jul 25, 2011 6:39 pm suh: I think Trina said they went with one basin instead of two because of lack of money. I loved the girls wallpaper, but I don't think it came over great in the small bedroom. But I thought their styling was the best. I didn't think Josh/Jen's was "all that" the way the judges went on about it. and I didn't like the bed looking like they'd just crawled out of it. Loved their colours again tho. I actually liked Rod/Tania's rooms the best, I loved their bathroom and styling in the bedroom! Poll/Waz wall unit was way too much for me, great idea, but if you bought the house and didn't want open shelving, bad luck. But I loved the city skyline picture with a view of Melbourne behind it! These by all the contestants rooms are all quite similar to me, but considering their limited designing backgrounds I think they are doing great work! I am getting some ideas here and there... - blackboard chalk on wall behind built in desk (Sisters office) - industrial lights hanging carelessly next to bedroom side tables (Josh/Jen this week's bedroom) - the sisters doors are gorgeous - I love the colours (grey) that Josh/Jen are using A thankful person is a happy person. I liked Polly and Waz's bedroom and I liked Rod and Tania's study nook and I liked the sisters wallpaper. I'm liking the grey colour Jenna and Josh are using and I reckon that gives their rooms a special something but that bed crossed the line from casual to messy! Re: “The Block” 70Jul 26, 2011 8:05 am At least last night's challenge was interesting. Finally! Design stuff - yay! I loved the look and idea of the wet room, but like everyone else, I don't think it would be so great when you actually have to clean it. I thought the girls' ensuite was gorgeous, pity they didn't have funds for a larger vanity though. “The Block” 72Jul 26, 2011 6:41 pm cartycost Hello Would anyone know the brand or where Rod and Tania got their built in ironing board? There are supplier lists on the website http://homes.ninemsn.com.au/img/thebloc ... /SL_RT.pdf This one is Rod & Tania's for that room. It doesn't list the ironing board, but does the cupboards, it could be from there. The contestants also have face book fan pages. You could ask them. Re: “The Block” 76Jul 26, 2011 9:51 pm it is a drawer. we are only on week one of the block here, so havent seen the program with the iron. I got mine via the kitchen people, but I think mitre 10 do a drawer. I know they do a wall pull down thing, ...might do a drawer attachment. Re: “The Block” 78Jul 26, 2011 9:53 pm not even sure what they put in (sorry, not seen the episode) so maybe it wasnt a drawer or a pull down thing at all..maybe it was a maid who lived in a cupboard!?? 6 11161 Yes it had a house on it. But Melbourne water only wanted something the original size of the existing house. We managed to fit a 45sq house on. 10 33668 4 4501 |
