Hello,
I am really struggling to decorate our kitchen/dining/living area, all rooms are one big open space and I am really confused.
I love the colour red, and wanted to bring warmth into our house as its all pretty white and neutral, we also didn't want to much colour as our plans for outdoors will really make the family room feel homely.
My concerns: I loveee our dining room table and buffet table, love the timber as it brings colour, the tv cabinet seems to go with the dining room table however the bar stools are a different colour and really discourage me from keeping either the tv cabinet or the bar stools in this area, unsure. I am thinking of moving the tv cabinet to our front lounge, however worried it is far to big and will overtake our front lounge, and in all honesty my bf won't allow me to purchase a new tv cabinet haha, so I am stuck with the timber one for the mean time, i am thinking of change all handles on our buffet, hall table and tv cabinet so they are all the same and it feels more of a proper fit.
We have a large 6 seater black leather couch with red, cream and black cushion accents, I would really love to have a huge rug that will go underneath the couch and cover a large floor space. I would love to add a single seater couch into the room which will be a feature chair where i can sit and read under a lamp or comfortably sit with my laptop. When walking into the house in the dining room to the island bench there seems to be to much tiles, so i'd love to have the extra large rug to add the warmth and homely feel.
Very confused, need help on all things to add or change to create this room cosy, warm and feel loved where all three areas are clearly different however all go together as the one entertaining room!! I love modern contemporary, we would of love to have our tv wall mounted however we didn't add any extra studs for support, also our tv can not be moved from this area due to the foxtel cable being in this position.
Please help!!!
