Hi Michelle and everybody else!
I'm a bit crap at this stuff and I've been playing around on the dulux colour atlas for months on and off. Just collecting and deleting colours I really love, then decide I don't love. I want to introduce some colour, but I don't want to do feature walls as such. I want to paint entire areas. .
These two colours are present throughout the house. The first represents our wall colour throughout. (Ours is Wattyl White Pepper, but it's very close to White Duck Half)
The second is our splashback colour in the kitchen, it also represents our floor tile and our Romans and drapes in the main living areas. So basically everything has to tie together with these two colours.
White Duck Half and Army Issue

Main Bedroom and Retreat. I'd like to paint a couple of walls in the first colour which is Sinful. Then use Army Issue as a bit of a contrast colour. I want it to be interesting but not too full on. There is wenge wooden furniture in this room.

Lounge/open library. I want to paint the entire room Sailing Safari. There will be the tiles outside in the hallway and a big Roman blind opposite on the bi-folds. I've put Tibetan Silk here as the highlight colour, but my preference is to use Rare Desire which is slightly lighter, but I couldn't copy it.

Open plan kitchen/family/meals. This area is visually connected to the open Lounge... so it needs to flow somewhat. We have awesome views over the valley from here, so I wanted to keep it a bit samey so there wasn't anything to detract from the views. There's a feature dividing wall between the family and rumpus, I wanted to paint that Arrow Shaft and extend that colour into the rumpus. I was then going to use the same highlight colour as in the lounge for some continuity. We also have wooden and black furniture in this area.

As I said I have no idea really what I'm doing. I'm not sure if this all works and creates some type of continuity, or if it will all look like a dog's breakfast. I just know that I want to steer clear of red as I feel like it's been done to death. As I said, we are tied into the grey green that I've posted.
Help, opinions, ideas would be great. Thanks.
And a big thanks to bel for helping me out with posting the colour pics.
Edit to add floorplan:
1st scheme, Sinful for Main bedroom wall and extending to go around bedroom and retreat windows.
2nd scheme, Sailing Safari for all 3 walls of the lounge.
3rd scheme, Arrow Shaft for wall dividing Family and Rumpus (both sides) extending into rumpus onto walls adjoining kitchen bench and wall adjoining bedroom 3.... or possibly the entire room. 2nd pic shows the dividing wall.
