Hi there
I desperately need some fast help, if anyone is willing....?
We have just renovated our entire house and the painters are doing the inside in a week.
I don't want to make a decision I will regret if I don't put the effort in on the paint decision. I know I should get a colour consultant out quickly but seriously haven't got time with my job at the moment. I know what I want (to describe it, see below) but just need someone who knows about interior paint colours to give me some advice.
It is a federation restoration with some bold elements like Florence Broadhurst wallpaper behind our glass splashback in the kitchen and a black gloss oven!
Basically, I want the paint to be interesting and contrast enough to be different but not so dark that it's shocking when you walk in.
It is a small cottage with massive skirtings and cornices. These will all be in Antique White USA, along with the ceiling.
I had thought Light Rice at full strength on the walls until my painter said it might be too dark.
Basically - is he saying that because it is unusual or because it really will be too dark. The former I am OK with, the latter not so much!
I have noticed someone on this forum mention 'Buff It'.
What we want is a latte colour. Not too yellow/beige or pink but really a true warm brown colour 'watered down' so to speak. A 'milky' latte!
Outside we have Warm Neutral 150% and Antique White USA. I do wish the warm neutral was darker now, but that battle has already been lost as it's too late!
Can anyone help me with this one?!
Thanks
