Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 15, 2011 9:48 am Hi people I'm wanting to paint a feature wall in my main living room and want to go with a grey look. I have tried several grey samples but they all look blue! I think a grey wall will go nice with the cream rug and navy blue couch I just bought but really don't want the couch to clash with the wall. Please help! Any photos will be greatly appreciated! Re: Help needed for grey feature wall 3May 15, 2011 4:12 pm I'm going grey in our place as well, I know exactly what you mean by the blue factor. We're looking at Taubmans "Grey Comfort", Dulux's "Grey Pail" or Dulux's "Dieskau". The latter is winning at the moment. ~W~ Building our forever home - Lilium Estate Clyde - Land due May 2019 Built our first home - Pakenham - 2011 Re: Help needed for grey feature wall 4May 15, 2011 6:43 pm We've used Dulux "Charcoal Light" in our family room... http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/ac165/aaron4erin/photowallDSC_1189.jpg Re: Help needed for grey feature wall 5May 15, 2011 7:59 pm Hi, Like the photo above the best grey for your purpose is one with a warm base to the grey. If you look on dulux website and look at the colour atlas online, they show the gradients of all the colours. You will get a good idea of the 'tones' of grey. But always get a sample pot just to make sure ( I always do:)) Sarah Re: Help needed for grey feature wall 7May 18, 2011 2:32 pm We used Milton Moon - it's not too dark and it feels warm to me... but we have black timber floors - so the reflection of these could make it feel warm?
