COLOUR QUESTIONS?

Hi Michelle,

Here is the colour pattern for our kitchen & Pantry as it was done in MS paint the colours are an indication only. The cabinets will be finished in Thermolaminated Vinyl the dark colour being Kiewa cherry and the light colour Namoi cherry (Gloss finish). The benchtops will be Latte Ceasarstone. All the appliances are Meile in Stainless Steel finish (except the hotplate which will be an induction unit in black glass) Splashbacks are glass tiles in an antique bronze finish.

All windows are stained timber

The look we are aiming for is warm contemporary.

Do you think we will acheive this and what suggestions or alterations would you make?

Martyme….is it just me or have all your photos disappeared from your post?????

Can someone tell me? What do you see?

dna….re - WC Selections with Peruvian Clay……
I like the Peruvian Clay better, but hey it’s your home……you choose which one you like best!

Keep both laundry and WC the same selections.

Laundry bench top – there is a Laminex called “Brook Pebble” Natural Finish 544 Have a look at that, as it will tie in with the C/stone.

Polar white is one step of being pure white. So with Dulux if you just got a WHITE….no tint no shade…just pure white….you will be close enough, no one will know.

Hahahaha, we've chosen Brook Pebble for our laundry room benchtop with Ice Snow C/S in the Bathrooms and Nova Aurora C/S in the kitchen....

Martyme….its been a while since I’ve seen a kitchen like you are about to do.
If you are after warmth, you are certainly achieving it with the selections you have chosen.

Just one small thing…..have a look at the C/Stone Ivory 220, its lighter than Latte, and I feel it will complement the cabinets a little better. Also if the splashbacks are as dark as I’m thinking….you will need the colour variance for your benchtops.

Other than that, it all sound and to me, looks great!

Now that you brought it up, we understand what you mean regarding the Stipples (had too look closely at it

The trouble area atm seems to be the WC/laundry/kitchen. The floor tiles for these areas are all the same. Here is the floorplan showing the relative locations of these areas.

I've picked up the samples of Polar White and Expresso but we think the Polar White is too white and the Expresso too dark

. Is there a darker shade of Peruvian Clay (don't necessarily have to stick to Laminex)? With regards to Brook Pebble, how realistic/similar is it to Ice Snow? We've tried to stay away from the stones as we thought "why try to pass a laminate as stone when it's obviously not".

Other than using Brook Pebble, how should we do the laundry/WC whilst keeping the selections consistant? Also would a white kitchen still work? As I mentioned earlier, pure white is bit too much so we're looking at a cool white with grey tones, possibly Whisper White and change the wall colour to Stowe White

Kitchen and WC now with matching C/stone.

Bench tops …..If possible should have a pattern in them, it hides all the ware and tear a top gets….even in the laundry! We are not trying to pretend “Pebble Brook” is stone….. :wink:

We are giving you a balanced look and feel to your home…..most people looking at it will know its laminate……who cares….if it does the job and pulls in the 3 spaces that’s all that matters. But “Pebble Brook” looks good in a big piece…..shame I can’t show you my larger samples I have.

Also “Pebble Brook” will complement the tiles you are having as well!

Glade you posted the floor plan, it helps me to really get a feel for the rooms, and to visualise the selections in their areas.

When I get home I’ll have a look at your other questions!

Sorry if I got you all confused, WC benchtop is Caesarstone. I'll just list here which selections are still missing

1. WC vanity doors
2. Laundry cabinet doors
3. Laundry benchtop

To make it easier for you, I'll summarise the existing selections. Here's a photo of the common floor tile for the WC/laundry/kitchen (large tile), splashback for the laundry (white tile), just ignore the laminate sample in the picture.

Benchtop for kitchen and WC would be in Ice Snow. The kitchen cabinets will be in some form of white, just haven't decided on the exact tone. Kitchen splashback would be greenish white similar to the following picture.

There's no rush, we probably don't have to decide til sometime next month. We just know that we're indecisive and would take a long time, so just planning in advance :lol:
