BUT still can't decide + a decision needs to be made really soon... so here I am asking for MORE help from the design ladies!!
Found this very cool floor “visualiser” on the Quick-Step website: http://www.quick-step.com/flooradvisor/default.aspx?id=en_AU#/laminate/roomgallery/
… and have put together some visualisations, which has been a lot of fun.
As well as the flooring colours, you can also pick to some degree the colour of the walls and furniture in the room you select. So for these examples I’ve tried to duplicate our grey walls… Not perfect, but you get the general idea of our colours.
For reference, it's Haymes "Legend":
We have been told that the size of the house should be able to ‘take’ a darker colour. But maybe we've made our one *brave* choice + need to be more conservative now, which I would interpret as going with a lighter colour would be the 'safe' choice.
I thought it might be fun to see have a vote and see overall whether light, medium or dark is preferred. Is light too light? Will dark make the house look like a cave? The medium tone in the pics below seem to be adding a bit of warmth to all the grey while maintaining some depth...
