While looking online for wallpaper, i came across these ideas.

They are vinyl stickers that are applied directly onto a painted wall to create an eye catching feature...and they are not as expensive as you would think???

Some of them are simply stunning, and they can be removed when you want to change without too much hassle....

Sounds like a fabulous idea, much easier to change the look of the room.

It is from China, but there has to be places locally that should provide similar designs....I am tempted to buy one for the price and see how it goes in the new place....

I would say i'd pay a few hundred for one of those features, but for under $60, delivered, i think it's pretty good....but i have not bought them before...

V, i would think that as they are vinyl, they actually stretch when being removed so they cannot be re-used again...We've applied large format vinyl lettering before, and it didn't take any of the underlying surface off...
But each design's link has application instructions....

Hi Fiona, i'm looking at vinyl wall decals on g00gle at the moment too...if i can't find anything locally i will buy it and try it ......(but it won't be till next year though...) Seems the seller has had issues with the postage timing as well as the tattoo items they also sell. For the price of what i'm seeing locally, these things if they are half as good as they look are an absolute BARGAIN!!!!

Now i can imagine a black or even a dark chocolate, matt-painted feature wall with a silver/pewter vinyl filigree feature on it .....just fantastic.... there you go....there's my vision (as Michelle call's it) raising it's darn head again....got to stop doing that as i don't have a house YET!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure I've seen similar things on either a reno show on telly or in a magazine. I'll scour the magazines I have at home later to see if i can find an Australian supplier.

Fridays my day for doing all my stuff, not working for the other half.
So I’ve been out of my home and office all day!

I had to drive up to Wollongong to check out the Hotel I’ve done all the selections for……just to see if it’s all ok…….

Matt was in eh? Did he have much to say? Dirty little stop out! :wink:

off2theburbs…..NO, anything to liven up a dull space.
Visually if it is pleasing to you, then that’s a good thing!

I was thinking…..

1) Wardrobe doors

2) Mirrors that are only used for show.

3) If you live in an old home waiting to do a reno…..kitchen doors.

4) Hall way walls

5) Kids rooms…..ceilings, if they have kids motifs

By the way…..I think they would peal off without making too much of a mess to the walls.

The wall would be best if it were a satin or gloss, and been painted recently so the paint work is still new. Old painted walls could be a problem when removing them.
