I was thinking a light grey/white colour for the living room/kitchen/dining with a darker grey feature wall in the lounge room. Its an older house and is on the small side, so I want to make it look bigger than it is!
We were also going to have a purple feature wall in our bedroom (a dulux silk colour) but am unsure what colour to use on the other wall!
Also... stupid question, do you paint the architraves, door frames, doors and skirting board the same colour as the wall? and do you paint the roof the same as the other walls or just a white colour?
Who would of thought painting was so hard! I thought it would be easy until I got to Bunnings and looked at all the colours
Any advice or guidance would be great!
Thanks
Jade
If you want to make the rooms look spacious keep the trim the same colour ( in gloss) as the walls. You can keep the ceiling the same also if you wish or go for white.
My feature wall is a dark purple Dulux Purple Empire viewtopic.php?f=6&t=45775
I havent ever used greys so Michelle will or the other members will have to help you with those colours
If you’re grey is a very light shade it will work, but preferable I think you need the same colour throughout the house. I did all of my house in one colour….ceilings, walls trims, doors, the only different was the feature walls.
