Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 18, 2011 4:05 pm Hi we are repainting our house inside antique white usa and are having trouble deciding whether to paint the skirting boards, architraves doors etc in either a gloss or satin. the painter said he does the majority these days in a satin. we have an older style bungalow but are trying to bring a modern feel inside which i think is what the satin trims would do ? any thoughts. Our interior is quite modern, I don't think the gloss has detracted from it at all. you can achieve the look you are after without necessarily worrying about what finish the trims are in I would think.
