We have used two of these side by side, along one side of our study for our computers etc. A similar effect at a very low price! http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/S29868236 Re: Desk for kidzone/ home office 3Mar 16, 2011 11:13 pm We wanted that look too, and were going to buy two of these http://www.ikea.com/aa/en/catalog/products/S99885497 but have since found a 1.7m long benchtop on ebay for $45 that we just need legs for, so thats going to have to do for now ! Re: Desk for kidzone/ home office 4Mar 17, 2011 6:37 am Hi Ann, We went the ikea route and mixed and matched between kitchen and desk parts Specifically Vika Alex, Curry legs and two Numerar Kitchen benchtops. Benchtops were the most expensive at $170-180each, the curry legs are around $5 each while the vika alex to store the computer and to support the join was $120 iirc. Just make sure when looking at the ikea benchtops that its one of the solid benchtops, not the hollowcore ones. We will install them ourselves. Although Sizewise are a NQ business there's probably a similar sort of company near you. Bunnings also sell benchtops but the colour range is more limited and you may need to cut them to fit.
