Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Mar 04, 2011 5:51 am My lounge is cream coloured, the walls are cream coloured. I have large windows and the trim is a teal/turquoise colour. Im living in a rental apartment so I cant repaint. We bought a 3 seat sofa similar to this in stone http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/i ... oCat=35389 The coffee table and entertainment unit is a dark brown colour. I need an arm chair and maybe a rug to finish off the lounge area. I am stuck on what kind of armchair to buy. Pattern? colour? Do I buy a cream/stone arm chair or do I do buy a turquoise arm chair or do I buy a patterned arm chair that has stone and turquoise in it? I was thinking of a chair with wooden arms. Or should I get a cream arm chair and a patterned rug? Re: arm chair for lounge room 2Mar 04, 2011 6:35 pm Nice style of lounge! What you need to ask yourself is…..”How long are we going to be renting here?” Think about what YOU want, not what goes with your rental! If it where me, I would work with the style of the lounge, which is quite retro, and look at arm chairs in another colour, one YOU like. Again, if you want a rug, don’t spend a lot of money on it, if you buy or build a house, it may not go with your next room. If you click Zoom/Additional Views the middle pic shows them together. We chose cream for both because they complement our accent color (red) perfectly. Other chairs I like with that sofa are the matching Bantam armchair http://www.dwr.com/product/living/chair ... y=ourPicks and the Jens Risom chair with matching ottoman http://www.dwr.com/product/living/chair ... y=ourPicks I think you really can't go wrong with either of these choices Hi all, My first post, we are building a house and can’t decide the layout of the lounge room.
